Arthur "Art" Fry (born August 19, 1931) [1] is an American inventor and scientist. He is credited as the co-creator of the Post-it Note (though this is disputed by some), an item of office stationery manufactured by 3M .
A Post-it note (or sticky note) is a small piece of paper with a re-adherable strip of glue on its back, made for temporarily attaching notes to documents and other surfaces. A low- tack pressure-sensitive adhesive allows the notes to be easily attached, removed and even re-posted elsewhere without leaving residue.
In 1974, 3M co-workers Arthur Fry and Spencer Silver invented the now-familiar Post-it Note, with the former creating the paper and the latter developing the glue. First Digital Camera
Fry developed bookmarks using Silver's adhesive, preventing them from leaving residue, and sought to interest others within the 3M company in them.
