There are libraries in other campuses of ITU: Ratip Berker Library in School of Mechanical engineering, Macka library, Taskisla library and Tuzla library. In addition to these general purpose libraries there is a music library in Macka campus for Turkish Music State Conservatory. [5] [6]
The ITU Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center is a multi-venue building located within Istanbul Technical University's Ayazağa campus in Maslak, Istanbul. [1] The university's academic and cultural activities are held in this center. [2]
The building, originally called the Istanbul Culture Palace, was completed in 13 years and opened on April 12, 1969, [3] twenty-three years after the initial proposal. On November 27, 1970, fire broke out during a performance of Arthur Miller 's play The Crucible ( Turkish : Cadı Kazanı , "The Witch's Cauldron").
