"Funkytown" is a song by American disco-funk group Lipps Inc., written and produced by Steven Greenberg and released by Casablanca Records in March 1980 as the second single from the group's 1979 debut studio album Mouth to Mouth.
Daniel Roby (born October 25, 1970, in Montreal, Quebec) is a Canadian film director and cinematographer. [1] An alumnus of the film programs at Concordia University and the University of Southern California, he worked as a camera operator and cinematographer on numerous film and television projects before releasing his own directorial debut, White Skin (La Peau blanche), in 2004.
Lipps Inc. started as a project of Steven Greenberg when he was a wedding DJ who wanted to try his hand at writing disco songs. He had intended to use the name Lip Sync, but it was in use by another group, so instead he chose the homophone Lipps Inc. Greenberg was the sole member of the group until he met Cynthia Johnson while auditioning singers for his song "Rock It".

In the late 1990s Galluccio wrote Mambo Italiano, a semi-autobiographical comedy about a young man in Montreal who comes out as gay to his Italian-Canadian family. Although the play was originally written in English, a French translation by Michel Tremblay was produced by Montreal's Théâtre Jean-Duceppe in 2000, in advance of its English premiere at Centaur Theatre in 2001.
