John Hood Garabedian (born December 20, 1941) is an American radio personality and disc jockey. He is best known as the creator and former long-time host of Open House Party . He has been involved in Massachusetts radio and television stations for more than 50 years.

The station first began operation November 12, 1972, [1] as WGTR, owned by John Garabedian. [3] It was a full service daytime station for Natick and MetroWest, programming top-40 music. [4] WGTR originally from a small tower in a residential area of Natick. However, Garabedian had long hoped to expand WGTR into Boston itself.
