Coconut Palace, also known as Tahanang Pilipino (lit. ' Filipino Home '), is a government building located in the Cultural Center of the Philippines Complex in Manila, Philippines. It was the official residence and the principal workplace of the vice president of the Philippines during the term of Jejomar Binay.
Because he had built up his name designing the San Miguel Corporation headquarters, he was asked by Imelda Marcos [1] to build the "Tahanang Pilipino" (lit. Filipino home, often referred to as the Coconut Palace), within the Cultural Center of the Philippines Complex. [6]
In 2011, the Coconut Palace, also in Pasay, was designated as the principal workplace of the vice president of the Philippines. Beginning June 30, 2016, the office was transferred to the Quezon City Reception House in Quezon City . [ 29 ]
