On May 5, 2005, the paper replaced the former Arvada Sentinel Newspaper. The newspaper is owned by Mile High Newspapers, which is based in Golden, Colorado. In May 2021, The Colorado Sun and nonprofit organization The National Trust for Local News became joint owners of The Arvada Press along with over a dozen more local newspapers. [1]

The public art chosen for the station is "Track Bone" by Frank Swanson and reflects how the railroad was in many ways the backbone of Arvada when it was founded in 1870. The sculpture is made of Red Colorado Granite cut into sections of railroad track and is 28 feet (8.5 m) long, 4 feet 6 inches (1.37 m) high, and 7 feet (2.1 m) wide. [2]
