Zachary is located in northern East Baton Rouge Parish. It is bordered to the north by the city of Slaughter, to the east by Central, and to the south by Baker. Ellerbe Springs Hotel is a historic rural resort hotel located near Ellerbe, Richmond County, North Carolina. It was built around 1875 and is a two-story, three part, rambling frame dwelling in the Late Victorian style. It consists of a five bay central block with five bay flanking wings and steep hipped roofs.
The area attracted tourists in the 1880s after the railroad arrived, when it was advertised as a winter resort for the springs' alleged healing powers; it was called the Fountain of Youth. A hotel was built near the spring, and a small steamboat brought visitors by water.
