Holy Family Church is a historic former Roman Catholic church in the Lawrenceville neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and a contributing property in the Lawrenceville Historic District. [1] The church was built in 1939–40 and was designed in the Romanesque Revival architectural style with modernist design principles.

By the 1970s the chapel had fallen into serious disrepair and a group of parishioners formed a committee to raise funds to restore it. On April 7, 1972, the pastor of Most Holy Name approached Bishop Leonard of Pittsburgh and asked for his approval of this effort. Permission was granted, and the restoration was undertaken completely by donation.
The original abbey structures, including the present church, were designed by the German-American architect J. William Schickel and built between 1891 and 1905. The archabbey church was dedicated by bishop Regis Canevin of Pittsburgh on August 24, 1905 [ 3 ] and declared a minor basilica by Pius XII on the same date in 1955.
