Pitchford Hall Façade. Pitchford Hall is a Grade I listed Tudor country house in the village of Pitchford, Shropshire, 6 miles south east of Shrewsbury.. It was built c.1560 on the site of a medieval building and has been modified several times since, particularly in the 1870s and 1880s when it was substantially restored, remodelled and extended.

This is a list of all GWR Hall Class engines (to the original Churchward design) built by the Great Western Railway. Eleven of these were converted to burn oil for a short period in the 1940s. During this time, they were renumbered into the 39xx series.
Seven of the class have run in preservation, with all six of the UK-based engines having operated on the main line: 4930 Hagley Hall, 4936 Kinlet Hall, 4953 Pitchford Hall, 4965 Rood Ashton Hall, 5900 Hinderton Hall and 5972 Olton Hall. 5972 Olton Hall gained fame as 'Hogwarts Castle', the locomotive used in the Harry Potter film series.
