Notonagoro became the founder of Gadjah Mada University's faculty of philosophy in 1968. [2] For his work with the university and thoughts on Pancasila, Notonagoro was given an honorary doctorate in philosophy from Gadjah Mada University on 19 December 1973. He died on 23 September 1981. [1]
