2009 Kubota RTV 900, 2009 Kubota B26 TLB & 2010 model LS P7010. I dont have a finish mower, however, I think the blade height on them is closer to the bottom of the housing than a bushhog. With a bushhog frame dragging the ground, I think the lowest it will cut is about 4" which is much too high for a yard grass mow.

The BX2230 and BX1830 will handle a 48" field mower. We sell both Rhino and Bush Hog brands and have had better luck at fitting the Bush Hog SQ480 because the mounting pins can be moved to the inside position and that makes it easier to hook up. Both of these mowers are 48" wide and handle up to 1" diameter material.

That will dictate the HP requirements for a 5' or 6' mower. The 25 to 30 HP range will pull a 6' mower AT SLOW SPEED in heavy weeds. FORGET dense brush. Then there's the weight issue. Unless you go with an extremely light 6'er, your tractor will need plenty of front weigh to deal with a 6' mower.

Start up the tractor with the bush hog. If it slips at all when you engage the PTO, tighten the bolts a turn to turn and a half and repeat. If it doesn't, tighten the bolts a turn to turn and a half and stop. This method keeps me out of too much trouble. May 15, 2007 / Correct PTO RPM to Bush Hog #4.
