The Houston Museum District is one of the most highly concentrated cultural areas in the world. As a nonprofit collective, we serve as a dynamic network and spotlight for our members, raising visibility around their offerings, advocating on their behalf, and collaborating with others to augment their cumulative impact.
Our members include 21 institutions that range widely in terms of size, scope, and focus area—engaging audiences through art, history, science, spirituality, and much more. Though we share a leafy 9-square-mile neighborhood in central Houston, our reach extends far beyond.
