Can somebody make a petition to have the library opened 24/7? Pre-pandemic is was opened 24/7. I hate it how we are kicked at 12am Sunday- Thursday and 6pm Friday and Saturday.
If you want quiet space go to the basement area that is exclusive for SJSU students. To be honest, most if not all libraries have homeless people in them. It’s a shame some of those homeless are so gone they can’t even use their common sense and know theirs a time and place to do their pandering.
The library has installed pick-up lockers (similar to what Amazon has). You can use the library's catalog to find and request SJSU books as well as laptops for checkout. You'll receive and email with instructions and a code to use. We still have to quarantine each item, so this isn't an overnight process. But we're getting there.
Floor 6-8 will be SJSU students only, so please bring an ID. Beginning August 22, the library will be open until midnight Sunday through Thursday for SJSU students. A Tower ID will be required.

Rooms in the Library. The library does have study rooms that you can reserve, but people are limited to 1hr a day. Starting the 19th they will all be available. You have to reserve them using this page that I've linked below.
