Atlantic Salvor is a US-flagged ocean-going tugboat owned and operated by Donjon Marine of Hillside, New Jersey. His first boat sank, but he fished it out of the Susquehanna River, near his home, and made it into a home for snakes. Darby and his wife made their home in Saint Johns, Florida, where he died on December 3, 2016, at the age of 88.

History. Darby was named in honor of Ensign Marshall E. Darby (1918–1941), who fell overboard, while serving aboard the battleship USS Oklahoma, during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on 7 December 1941. The ship was launched 29 May 1943 by Philadelphia Navy Yard, sponsored by Mrs. M. E. Darby, and commissioned 15 November 1943.
