Recently for some reason my audio stopped working in a strange way. When I plug in my headphones via audio jack or blue tooth I can hear everything perfectly fine, only my actual speakers don't work. The strangest part is that when I ran the audio test in the BIOS (or whatever spamming F2 gets you) I can hear the musical notes from my speaker.
01-29-2021 06:08 AM. I searched online for troubleshooting steps, I tried every one, still can't get external speakers to work. The pc is under warranty but HP says it's a software issue. They don't cover software under warranty. They won't let me take it to Authorized Service Center to troubleshoot.
I've tried to plug a 3,5 mm earphone to my laptop's headphone jack, but nothing happens. Sound still comes out from my laptop's speaker. I've tried to reconnect, hear from my earphone, but still not working. I've also noticed the Sound panel in Control Panel that my headphone jack isn't plugged in. I'm currently using Windows 10 version 2004.
