Style guides. The Chicago Manual of Style (abbreviated as CMOS, TCM, or CMS, or sometimes as Chicago[1]) is a style guide for American English published since 1906 by the University of Chicago Press. Its 17 editions (the most recent in 2017) have prescribed writing and citation styles widely used in publishing.
While citations should aim to provide the information listed above, Wikipedia does not have a single house style, though citations within any given article should follow a consistent style. Simply use the citation template and <ref> tags as you would for any other footnote, but define an "image" group in the <ref> tag.
