The unpaved [12] road heads southeast into the national monument beginning at its intersection with Utah Scenic Byway 12 about 5 mi (8.0 km) east of Escalante. After traveling about 12 mi (19 km) along the Hole-in-the-Rock Road there is a road to the right leading to the Devils Garden area. [ 10 ]

Stevens Arch is a large natural arch located in Grand Staircase–Escalante National Monument, Utah.The bridge has a span of 220 feet (67.06 metres), making it the fourteenth longest natural arch span in the United States as measured by the Natural Arch and Bridge Society.
The park's three main regions are the Grand Staircase, the Kaiparowits Plateau, and the Canyons of the Escalante. The National Monument is managed by the Bureau of Land Management−BLM as part of the National Landscape Conservation System .
