Susanna Lee Hoffs (born January 17, 1959) is an American singer, songwriter, guitarist, and actress. With Debbi Peterson and Vicki Peterson , she founded the Bangles in 1981. Their debut album, All Over the Place (1984), was acclaimed by critics but sold poorly.
The early Bangles lineup of Susanna Hoffs (vocals/guitars), Vicki Peterson (guitars/vocals), Debbi Peterson (vocals/drums) and Annette Zilinskas (vocals/bass) recorded an EP in 1982 and released the single "The Real World". For the release of the EP, they played in the Lhasa club in Hollywood.
Michael Steele (born Susan Thomas [1] on June 2, 1955) is an American retired musician, best known as the bassist for The Bangles.Under the name Micki Steele, she was a founding member of The Runaways but left in 1975, shortly before the band's major label debut.
