The Johnson baronetcy, of New York in North America, was created in the Baronetage of Great Britain on 27 November 1755 for the soldier William Johnson. The baronetcy was awarded for his victories at Crown Point (see capture of Fort Ticonderoga) and the Battle of Lake George earlier that year.
The battle took place near Lake George, now in northern New York, but then in the frontier area between the British province of New York and the French province of Canada.
