There are several rhythmic instruments that aptly accompany the Nagaland music. The area's folk music is dominated by string instruments like the Tati (single string fiddle) and Theku among the Chakhesangs and Angami Nagas, Asem (drum with animal skin masked upon carved wood) and Jemji (Horn made using mithun horn).

Tati, also known as Lubo, Libuh, Lobvü is a form of folksong sung with a single-stringed traditional musical instrument invented and used by the Nagas since time immemorial. It is popularly used by the Angami Nagas, Chakhesang Nagas and Mao Nagas [1] to sing traditional folk music.
Traditional arts are also featured, with paintings, wood carvings, and sculptures by modern Naga artists on display. Naga troupes sing folk songs, perform traditional dances and play indigenous games and sports. In the evenings a programme of music concerts, catering for all tastes, ensures that the festive spirit continues through the night. [1]
