A set of threes. In card games, a set or group is a scoring combination consisting of multiple playing cards, usually of the same rank. [1] Depending on the game, a set may consist of two cards of equal rank (a "pair") as in Bieten, three of a kind as in poker, or more.
The composition is indicated in brackets thus: (suits x cards) e.g. (4 x AKQJT) means 4 suits each containing the Ace, King, Queen, Jack and Ten. The key to suits is: F = French-suited cards, G = German-suited cards, I = Italian-suited cards, Sp = Spanish-suited cards and Sw = Swiss-suited cards.
Set (stylized as SET or SET!) is a real-time card game designed by Marsha Falco in 1974 and published by Set Enterprises in 1991.
