Ypsilanti Charter Township is a charter township of Washtenaw County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 55,670 at the 2020 census . [ 3 ] The city of Ypsilanti is mostly surrounded by the township, but the two are administered autonomously.
The city is bounded to the north by Superior Charter Township and on the west, south, and east by Ypsilanti Charter Township (a separately governed municipality). Ypsilanti is a part of the Ann Arbor-Ypsilanti metropolitan area, the Huron River Valley, the Detroit-Warren-Ann Arbor combined statistical area, and the Great Lakes megalopolis.
The First National Bank Building is a ten-story Romanesque Revival high-rise was built in 1927, and completed in 1929.
