The Pennsylvania Railroad initiated service to Greensburg in 1852, and a temporary structure served as a station for a few years. In 1860, a one-story red brick station was constructed. Passengers walked across the tracks to board westbound trains. [6] In the early 1900s, the railroad was expanded from two tracks to four tracks.
