The Earth Prize is an environmental sustainability prize for secondary education students awarded by The Earth Foundation every year. [1] [2] [3] The Earth Prize was first launched in September 2021, and first awarded in March 2022. [4] The winner receives US$50,000, to be shared between the team members and their school or educational program.
A pair of posters created to celebrate Earth Day include a design showing the Earth as a seed opening against a solid sea-blue background and "1982 Happy Earth Day", which shows an axe with its head against the ground and a small branch sprouting upwards from its handle. [3]
In 2017, the program was expanded to include Young Champions of the Earth – a forward-looking prize for talented innovators, 18 to 30, who demonstrate outstanding potential to create positive environmental impact.

During the 2014–15 school year, two of the school's middle schools were selected by Local 10 as finalists in their Eco-Hero Contest. [ 39 ] [ 40 ] Students at the school were selected as the contest's winner in 2015 and 2022.
