In 1928, he designed the original Cloister Hotel at Sea Island, Georgia. It was demolished in 2003. Mizner also built a Mediterranean Revival mansion in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, in 1929, La Ronda. It was demolished on October 1, 2009. Some architectural elements were salvaged.
