Jack Rice (born Earl Clifford Rice; May 14, 1893 – December 14, 1968) was an American actor best known for appearing as the scrounging, freeloading brother-in-law in Edgar Kennedy's series of short domestic comedy films at the RKO studio, and also as "Ollie" (a.k.a. "Oliver Merton" and "Oliver Shaw") in around a dozen of Columbia Pictures's series of the Blondie comic strip.
WCCO (830 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and owned by Audacy, Inc. [2] Its studios and offices are located on Second Avenue South in Downtown Minneapolis. WCCO features a news/talk format , with frequent newscasts and sports programming.
WCCO was the flagship station from 1961–1969. Dick Enroth was the original announcer, succeeded by Ray Christensen. KSTP (AM) held the rights from 1970–1975. WCCO again from 1976–1984. KSTP (FM) 1985–1987. WCCO 1988–1990. KFAN 1991–1995. WCCO 1996–2000. KFAN since 2001.
In 2010, after almost two decades at Clear Channel, Hines joined News Radio 830 WCCO, where he first hosted an evening show. In 2011, Hines replaced John Williams in the midday time slot, where he worked daily broadcasting until 2018. [10] Hines was inducted into the Pavek Museum of Broadcasting in 2017. [11]
