Greenbank Farm was founded in 1904 by Calvin Philips and his family as a model dairy farm with to goal of bringing commerce to Whidbey Island. The now iconic barn was built the same year. [ 1 ] In 1906, 125 acres of land was cleared along what is currently Highway 20 to make room for the expanding cattle herd.
