Tobias Jens Forge (Swedish pronunciation: [tʊˈbǐːas ˈjɛns ˈfɔ̌rːɡɛ]; [1] born March 3, 1981) is a Swedish musician. He is the frontman, leader and primary songwriter of the masked rock band Ghost , performing live as their vocalist under the stage names Papa Emeritus and Cardinal Copia .
In 2017, the identity of the lead-singer was revealed to be Tobias Forge after several musicians who had worked with him on the Ghost project started legal action over royalties. [ 7 ] [ 8 ] The single, " Cirice ", earned the band a Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance in 2016, while they have been nominated for several Swedish Grammis awards.
