Blaxy Girls was a Romanian all-girl rock band from Constanta, formed in 2007. The band consisted of lead singer Rucsandra Iliescu, Cristina Marinescu, Diana Ganea, Ana Maria Nanu and Gela Marinescu. [1] The group's first single, "If You Feel My Love" quickly became very popular in Romania. Their second great hit was "Dear Mama".
Three of their singles - "If You Feel My Love", "Dear Mama" and "I Have My Life" - reached top 40 on Romanian Top 100, with the first two being Top 10 efforts. They participated at 2009 Selectia Nationala with the song Dear Mama , where they finished in a tie for the second place.
Blaxy Girls sung live the song at Palatul Copiilor, Bucharest, in June, 2009. That show was recorded and used in the music video for "I Have My Life". They also performed it during the Mamaia Festival, in August, and promoted it on "Neatza cu Razvan si Dani", on Antena 1, in September 2009, along with "Sar".
