The Sallie House is a haunted house and tourist attraction located in Atchison, Kansas. The house dates back to the mid-1800s, [1] and is said to be haunted by the ghost of a young girl named Sallie, though Sallie is also thought to be a facade for something more demonic. [2] The house has been vacant since the 1990s.
Stull first appeared on territorial maps in 1857. [2] [3] During this time, the settlement was called Deer Creek. [3]It is unclear where this name came from, although Martha Parker and Betty Laird speculate that it could either be a translation of an indigenous location name or that it could have arisen after a deer was seen by a body of water.
