The Wales Coast Path is an 870-mile (1,400 km) long trail which follows almost the entire coastline. Opened in 2012, it incorporates pre-existing paths such as the Pembrokeshire Coast Path which had been established as a National Trail around almost the entire 186-mile (299 km) length of Pembrokeshire's coastline in 1970.
