Pick-N-Pay Supermarkets was a chain of supermarkets which operated in the Greater Cleveland, Ohio area. The company's origin can be traced to the year 1928 and the opening of a small dairy store in Cleveland Heights, Ohio by Edward Silverberg who then expanded his operation and created a chain of such stores which he called Farmview Creamery Stores.

The first such shopping mall in Greater Cleveland, 8.5 miles (13.7 km) from downtown's Public Square, and the first suburban shopping mall in Ohio, as one of the first post-war suburban retail centers with department store anchors in the United States, situated on a 55-acre (22 ha) parcel.
Bedrock-Detroit, a real estate company co-founded by Dan Gilbert, bought the May Company Building on Public Square in 2017 for $12 million (~$14.7 million in 2023) and now has plans to convert it to 308 apartments, almost 600 interior parking spaces, retail stores and rooftops for entertainment and green areas for residents' use.

In 2004, City View Center announced its opening, scheduled for 2006, coinciding with the construction of Steelyard Commons. The two centers were closely linked. City View Center initially planned to build at the Steelyard Commons location, but the $1.5 million higher cost led to choosing the former Boyas Dump site instead.
