The U.S. News and World Report ranked Brighton High School outside the top 1,000 schools in the nation and 38 in the state of Michigan. We can and should be doing better.
Kelly opened its doors as a junior high school on December 3, 1928, only serving grades six through ninth. On July 12, 1933, the Chicago Board of Education abolished all junior high schools in Chicago, and on September 17, 1933, for the 1933–34 school year; Kelly reopened as a senior high school.
Southwestern High School is a high school for grades 9–12 students located near Piasa, Illinois. It serves students from southwestern Macoupin and eastern Jersey counties in Illinois. Towns served by the high school are Brighton, Medora, Shipman, Piasa, Fidelity, Royal Lakes, Kemper, Plainview, and Summerville.
