Scatter plots — Accepts up to five datasets. (updated 28 August 2023) Pie charts — Accepts a single dataset of up to 36 items. (updated 17 May 2023) Variable-width bar charts — Accepts up to six datasets; is like "Vertical bar charts", above, but user can choose different widths for different bars. (updated 27 August 2023)
Time series is included in the JEL classification codes as JEL: C22, C32 Wikimedia Commons has media related to Time series . The main article for this category is Time series .
Panel data is the general class, a multidimensional data set, whereas a time series data set is a one-dimensional panel (as is a cross-sectional dataset). A data set may exhibit characteristics of both panel data and time series data. One way to tell is to ask what makes one data record unique from the other records.
Time series datasets are relatively large and uniform compared to other datasets―usually being composed of a timestamp and associated data. [6] Time series datasets can also have fewer relationships between data entries in different tables and don't require indefinite storage of entries. [ 6 ]
TSP stands for "Time Series Processor", although it is also commonly used with cross section and panel data. The program was initially developed by Robert Hall during his graduate studies at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the 1960s. [ 1 ]
Atkins was the site of the Goldsmith Pickle Company which started producing pickled cucumbers in 1946. The town thus laid claim to be the “Pickle Capital of the World” with some 1200 acres devoted to growing cucumbers. Along the same line Atkins was the original home of the fried dill pickle, created by Bernell “Fatman” Austin. [6]
A dataset is presumed to be in the form of a database table, together with metadata. Registered users can upload and download datasets manually using a web-interface or programmatically via an API using HTTP POST calls. Uploaded datasets are screened for integrity using deterministic rules and then subject to confirmation by a moderator.
X-12-ARIMA can be used together with many statistical packages, such as SAS in its econometric and time series (ETS) package, R in its (seasonal) package, [6] Gretl or EViews which provides a graphical user interface for X-12-ARIMA, and NumXL which avails X-12-ARIMA functionality in Microsoft Excel. [7] There is also a version for MATLAB. [8]
