Matthew Kaminski (born 1976 or 1977 (age 47–48)) is an American musician who is the stadium organist for the Atlanta Braves baseball team. [1] He is known internationally for his use of Twitter to interact with fans to select walk-on music for members of the opposing teams.
Shay Torrent was the original organist for both the White Sox (1960–1966) and the California Angels (1967–1985). Another early stadium organist, John Kiley, got his start playing for silent films at the Criterion Theater in Roxbury at the age of 15. He is credited with having discovered the Boston Garden's resident singer Rene Rancourt. Kiley was a veteran movie theater organist from the silent film era.
