Real Rare Whale is the fourth studio album by Australian rock band Dune Rats. It was released on 29 July 2022 and peaked at number 6 on the ARIA Charts. The band said, "Real Rare Whale is hands down the fastest, funnest and most insane album we've ever recorded. It's an album that expresses the love of music and writing songs.

The album was produced by Zac Carper of FIDLAR, who Dune Rats chose after touring with the band. [8] Dune Rats had to convince their label that Carper was an appropriate choice, as the label believed that it would be a waste of money and no work would be done. [8] The band would later call Carper the "fourth official member". [8]
It was released on 31 January 2020. The album was supported with an Australian tour between February and March 2020. [7] Lead singer Danny Beus said "We didn't set out to make a big album, or a polished album, or an album about partying because the last one did alright, or an album not about partying because we want to get away from that.
