Connecticut Ice is an annual ice hockey event celebrating the tradition and progress of youth and amateur hockey in the state of Connecticut. The three-day event is headlined by a four-team tournament with participation from all of the state's four Division I programs: Connecticut , Quinnipiac , Sacred Heart and Yale .
They won the 2024 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament, becoming the first back-to-back National Champions since Florida (who won the tournament in 2006 and 2007). They were the first team since the tournament expanded to 64 teams in 1985 (therefore requiring six victories to win the championship), to win every game by at least 14 points.
