Creative writing is any writing that goes outside the bounds of normal professional, journalistic, academic, or technical forms of literature, typically identified by an emphasis on narrative craft, character development, and the use of literary tropes or with various traditions of poetry and poetics.
Parts 6 and 7 focus on writing skills. Part 6 requires writing an email of 25 words minimum, whereas part 7 requires a story of 35 words minimum based on three picture prompts. Candidates can either choose one of the two parts. 2. Listening (approximately 30 minutes – 25% of total marks) The Listening paper has five parts comprising 25 questions.

Paper 2. Reading and Writing (30 minutes) The Reading and Writing paper has six sections and 40 questions in total. Each part begins with one or two examples. Children must spell their answers correctly in all parts of the test. Part 1 has eight pictures of things, with the English word under them. On the right-hand side there are six definitions.
Competitors then proceed according to the six-step process. Students are graded on their correct application of the process and on their use of cited research and creative originality. FPSPI later developed additional programs that make use of the six-step problem-solving process, or that otherwise train students in creative critical thinking.
