"Far Away Places" is an American popular song. It was written by Joan Whitney and Alex Kramer and published in 1948 . The recording by Bing Crosby & The Ken Darby Choir was recorded on November 25, 1948 [ 1 ] and released by Decca Records as catalog number 24532.
The album is a selection of her recordings made for Decca Records, for whom Lynn recorded between 1936 and 1959. It reached number one on the UK Albums Chart on 13 September 2009, making her at age 92 the oldest living artist to achieve this feat with an album. [ 1 ]
