Richard Stanley Nickel (May 31, 1928 – April 13, 1972) was a Polish American architectural photographer and historical preservationist, who was based in Chicago, Illinois. He is best known for his efforts to preserve and document the buildings of architect Louis Sullivan , and the work of the architecture firm of Adler & Sullivan.

Louis Henry Sullivan (September 3, 1856 – April 14, 1924) [1] was an American architect, and has been called a "father of skyscrapers" [2] and "father of modernism". [3] He was an influential architect of the Chicago School, a mentor to Frank Lloyd Wright, and an inspiration to the Chicago group of architects who have come to be known as the Prairie School.
Richard T. Sullivan (died 1981) was a novelist, short-story writer, and member of the faculty of the University of Notre Dame. His novels and short story collections include The World of Idella May , The Three Kings , Summer After Summer , The Dark Continent , and First Citizen .
Sullivan is located south of the center of Moultrie County. Illinois Routes 32 and 121 pass through the city center. IL 121 leads northwest 28 miles (45 km) to Decatur and southeast 17 miles (27 km) to Mattoon, while IL 32 leads north 9 miles (14 km) to Lovington and south 11 miles (18 km) to Windsor.

A wounded combat veteran of World War II , he became known as the mafia -fighting sheriff of Cook County, Illinois , in the 1960s before becoming governor.
Richard Francis Sullivan (July 14, 1937 - August 3, 2024) was an American physician-scientist and athlete. Sullivan is one of the original founders of the Massachusetts Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame .
