Pacita Barsana Abad (October 5, 1946 – December 7, 2004) was an Ivatan and Filipino-American artist.Her more than 30-year painting career began when she traveled to the United States to undertake graduate studies in Spain.
Fundacion Pacita is a lodging house and restaurant, which was formerly owned by Pacita Abad, the most iconic Ivatan visual artist. The house has been redecorated and filled with numerous art works of Pacita Abad after she died in 2004.

Abad was born on July 13, 1954, in Sampaloc, Manila, to a political family based in Batanes province. His parents were the late Jorge Abad, who was then the congressman of Batanes and later the Secretary of Public Works, Transportation and Communications during the administration of President Diosdado Macapagal, and Aurora Abad, then the future governor and congresswoman of Batanes.
