Thirteen Ghosts (also known as 13 Ghosts and stylized as THIR13EN Ghosts) is a 2001 supernatural horror film directed by Steve Beck in his directorial debut. A remake of the 1960 film 13 Ghosts by William Castle, [2] the film stars Tony Shalhoub, Embeth Davidtz, Matthew Lillard, Shannon Elizabeth, Alec Roberts, Rah Digga, and F. Murray Abraham.

Laura Mennell (/ m ɛ ˈ n ɛ l /; born 18 April 1980) is a Canadian actress known for her roles in Thirteen Ghosts, Alphas, Haven, Loudermilk, The Man in the High Castle, Watchmen and Batwoman. In 2011/2012 Mennell co-starred on the Sci-fi television series Alphas.
She was then cast in the film Thirteen Ghosts (2001) alongside Tony Shalhoub, F. Murray Abraham, Shannon Elizabeth and Matthew Lillard in her first real acting role. In the same year, she also appeared alongside Beyoncé and Joy Bryant in MTV's Carmen: A Hip Hopera (2001).
