The United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, commonly known as the United Association (UA), is a labor union which represents workers in the plumbing and pipefitting industries in the United States and Canada.
Martin J. Maddaloni (born June 1939) is a former American labor union leader.. Born in Philadelphia, Maddaloni completed an apprenticeship as a pipefitter, then was promoted to eventually run the mechanical department of Henkels & McCoy.
In North America, union pipefitters are members of the United Association. Wages vary from area to area, based on demands for experienced personnel and existing contracts between local unions and contractors. The United Association is also affiliated with the piping trades unions in Ireland and Australia.
