Pennsylvania Route 94 running north and south touches the westernmost point of the eastern parcel. The area consists of low ridges and agricultural, woodlots, and developed areas. Elevation varies from about 540 feet (160 m) to about 680 feet (210 m). 21 ponds within the Game Lands are popular for trout fishing. [1] [2]

[1] They are located near Aristes, at a distance of 0.25 miles (0.40 km), and are in Conyngham Township, Columbia County, Roaring Creek Township, Columbia County, and Union Township, Schuylkill County.
The smaller parcel, 6.2 acres (2.5 ha) in extant is about 6.5 miles (10.5 km) west of the main parcel, located adjacent to the western edge of Raccoon Creek State Park also in Hanover Township. The Game Lands falls within the Raccoon Creek watershed which is part of the Ohio River watershed.
