Thiruvananthapuram (/ ˌ t ɪ r uː v ə ˌ n ʌ n t ə ˈ p ʊər ə m / TIRR-oo-və-NUN-təp-OOR-əm; Malayalam: [t̪iɾuʋɐnɐn̪d̪ɐpuɾɐm] ⓘ), formerly known as Trivandrum, [10] is the capital city of the Indian state of Kerala.
