Community Unit School District 200 (CUSD 200) based in Wheaton, Illinois is a public unit school district mainly serving the communities of Wheaton and Warrenville. CUSD 200 also services portions of Carol Stream , Winfield , and West Chicago , as well as adjacent unincorporated areas within DuPage County .
Wheaton North High School (WNHS), locally referred to as "North" is a public four-year high school in Wheaton, Illinois, a western suburb of Chicago. It is one of two high schools that are part of Community Unit School District 200 , the other being Wheaton Warrenville South High School .
The history of Wheaton Warrenville High School can be traced back to the original high school in Wheaton, Wheaton High School, which opened in 1876. [7] In 1925, the school was relocated to a new building which would eventually become Hubble Middle School, and changed its name to Wheaton Community High School.
It was renamed to Wheaton Christian High School, and the dormitories were closed. The school underwent building advancements in 1979 and 1983, respectively. In 1995, the school was again renamed to Wheaton Academy. The school is currently undergoing building advancements to replace a section of the old campus, known as Academy Hall. [3]
