Posting in case anyone else comes across the same issue. We purchased a 2022 Atlas with 3 miles on it. By mile 299, three different lights/warnings were on: 1. Halfway through the install the guy asked me how much VW was going to charge, I felt bad when I told him almost $500, after all I had them price match the AGM battery under $200 and they did the install for free! By the way, the Diehard battery I got (H6-AGM) says made in Germany on it. LCMM55 and Djbjorklund.
KarstGeo. 1444 posts · Joined 2018. #6 · Jan 19, 2023. I had the battery replaced in our Atlas at the dealer; this was an H6 AGM and was about $350. The same battery at Costco is $150 and I have OBDEleven and can reset the battery adaptation myself.

Atlas models with 4motion will get the most advantage but its also helpful on FWD models. Hi. I have 2018 VW Atlas SEL 4-motion, with 23500 miles. I bought it back in September 2017, and last night it didn't start, showing low battery message. I haven't checked with the dealer yet, but wondering if someone replaced battery of 2018 Atlas. I have been changing batteries for my Honda Pilot 2006, but never did it for Volkswagen.
