The Al-Hadi School of Accelerative Learning (AHS) is an Islamic primary and secondary school in Southwest Houston, Texas. [5] The school is founded by Nasser Biria and is located on the premises of the Islamic Education Center of Greater Houston (IEC) of Houston, which also houses one of the largest mosques in Houston. In 1987 the school was established, and in 1993 it opened the Saint Nicholas School II campus in the Texas Medical Center. [64] As of 2020 [update] residents of apartment complexes make up about 25% of the parents of the students, and the school rents from Bethany United Methodist Church.

In Fall 2007, the high school opened. Currently, it has grades K–12, with boys and girls in separate classes. As of 2018 it had over 700 students in all programs, with 460 students in its day school. [2] In 2013 the school and its affiliated mosque planned a new campus in the former Woodmont Academy in Cooksville, Western Howard County.
