Puddingstone Dam is a 147 ft (45 m) high earth and rockfill dam in the San Gabriel Valley, within San Dimas in eastern Los Angeles County, California. The dam was built in 1928 by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works , which continues to operate it.
It features Hammond Pond, fishing and hiking trails as well as formations of sandstone conglomerate and Roxbury puddingstone which are popular for rock climbing. [3] [4] The reservation is part of the Metropolitan Park System of Greater Boston. Its first parcel was acquired from John Lowell in 1916.
