August Burns Red released their third full-length album, Constellations, on July 14, 2009. During the week of August 1, 2009, the album charted at spot 24 on the Billboard 200. Guardians Sessions is the sixth EP by American metalcore band August Burns Red.It was released on April 16, 2021 through Fearless Records.The EP consists of b-sides from the recording sessions of the band's previous album, Guardians, along with two re-imagined versions of songs from the album and two covers.
The album received positive reviews from critics. AllMusic gave the album a positive review saying, "August Burns Red's particular brand of metalcore, one that favors melody and positivity over atonal angst, hasn't changed much over time -- the metalcore genre itself is as calculated as it is explosive -- but Guardians delivers 11 good-to-great reasons why that formula has worked for so long."
On September 18, the day of the album release, the band released a music video for the title track. In 2013, HeartSupport toured with August Burns Red during the Vans Warped Tour of that year. [11] HeartSupport organized a Twitch live stream in support of World Suicide Prevention Day in 2021, titled Choose Life.
